Rally For a Fair Contract

On Friday, September 9th, at 11 am, EMU-AAUP/AFT held a rally with roughly 150-200 people in attendance. Representatives from several unions, including National AAUP and AFT, AFT Michigan, the Lecturer’s Employee Organization, the The University of Michigan Professional Nurse Council, University of Michigan Graduate Employee Organization, EMUFT, AAEA, and UAW, among others. Speakers included AAUP National President Irene Mulvey, Michgian State Representative Yousef Rabhi, Michigan State Representative Ronnie Peterson, Ypsilanti City Council Representative Annie Summerville, CMU Faculty Association member and past-president Anthony Feig, a student, and a fabulous performance from students in the EMU Marching Band.
